Kitchen with light oak cabinets, quartz island and globe pendant lights in a Bungalow Building home

BungalowBuilding

Seattle homes, designed and built with care

Every detail, considered

Bungalow Building is a Seattle general contractor and residential developer. We build infill homes, townhomes, ADUs and custom houses, and we stay on every project from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.

Good homes come from good details: a layout that flows, materials that last, systems that run efficiently, and finishes that still look right ten years in. We work with a small group of trusted trades who hold the same standard, and we keep improving how we build, one project at a time.

Trusted architectsWe connect you with architects we have built with, then take it from permit to keys.
Built GreenWe deconstruct rather than demolish whenever we can, and build with reclaimed lumber and energy-efficient envelopes.

What we build

Backyard ADU at dusk with large lit windows, set behind the main house

Backyard ADUs

A detached or attached ADU on your lot, for family, rental income or a home office. We help you sort out what your lot allows and build it start to finish.

Bright kitchen with white tile, wood shelving and a gas range

Custom homes

A house designed around how you live, built on your lot with the same care we put into our own projects.

Rendering of modern three-story townhomes with wood and panel siding

Townhomes and infill

Townhomes, small multi-unit projects and new homes on city lots that add housing to Seattle neighborhoods.

How a project runs

The same four stages on every job, whether it is one house or four townhomes.

  1. Design with an architect we trust

We introduce you to architects we have built with and trust. They lead feasibility and design, and we weigh in early on cost and buildability.

  2. Permitting

Your architect takes the plans through SDCI. We line up City Light and SPU utility requirements alongside, so construction can start on schedule.

  3. Construction

We are on site managing the build day to day, coordinating the trades and city inspections so every detail comes together correctly.

  4. Walkthrough and warranty

We walk the finished home with you, close out every item, and stand behind the work after move-in.
